As a female residence hall, Burt Hall was built in 1920 and named for Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Burt, who donated $100,000. It is the largest female hall on campus, and each room has a bath in suite. The hall is said to be built before its time because of the bath in suite design. The design was later copied by other college architects. It was renovated in 1992.

It was and the idea was great. But after a long day of packing and being a bit overwhelmed with going to the chapel and seeing the colors all I wanted to do was relax and rest.
