Concert Choir Spring Concert : Perserverance, Character & Hope

Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Meyer Christian Studies Center, Manning Chapel 908 Pearl Street, Belton, TX 76513

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Concert Choir will present their Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Manning Chapel (in the Meyer Christian Studies building).

With the theme Perseverance, Character, & Hope, the entire program features music about overcoming obstacles.   “Two interesting selections anchor this program,” said Dr. Michelle Roueché, Director of Choral Studies at UMHB.  “Famine Song, an emotional and desperate prayer for rain, has made the choir members very aware of the current drought in east Africa.

The other is Harriet Tubman, a powerful song about the Underground Railroad,” she continued.

Soloists will include Jessi Barton, Cardarious Bonner, Tiffany Collazo, Chaz Corder, Amanda Curry, Briana Frederickson, Matt McKinnon, and Savannah Sepulveda.   Bell County choir members include Chaz Corder, Katie Garcia, DeAundre Lewis, Matthew McKinnon, and Josie Ortiz.  Students from the Leander/Cedar Park area include Justin Arnhart, Kelli Chaka, James Jones, Hannah Killough, Brennan Montgomery, and Cydney Wilkerson.

Admission is free, but seating in Manning Chapel is limited.  Early arrival is strongly recommended.
