Kyle Shipp is a 2007 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Following graduation, Kyle spent eight years coaching baseball at Southwestern University and UMHB before answering the call into ministry. After the first two years of Kyle’s ministry career, he faced a junction that would alter the course of his life. Battling through undiagnosed depression and anxiety, Kyle began dealing with suicidal thoughts and, eventually, even had to overcome a planned and attempted suicide. In the months and years that followed, God used many people and situations to rebuild Kyle’s mind, heart, and passion for ministry. In God’s restoration of Kyle, He instilled a passion and excitement for building relationships, creating community, and passionately sharing about all the ways God is constantly reaching out for each and every one of us. Kyle is now the college pastor at Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church, the FCA representative on the campus of UMHB, a camp and retreat speaker, and the play-by-play broadcaster for many Crusader sports.
