Will Spivey serves as the Next Generation Pastor at FBC Opelika Alabama, where he has lived and served since 2019. For the first four years at FBCO, Will served as college pastor to over 700 college students from Auburn University. As Next Generation Pastor, Will oversees the unity and vision of the age graded ministries (preschool to young adult) while leading the church’s ministerial residency program, and preaches one of the Sunday morning services. Will is currently working on his PhD at New Orleans Seminary in Biblical Exposition with a minor in Missiology. Will’s heart is to see college students recognize God’s mission in the world and strategically pray about how they can play their part. Will and his wife Shelby have three children while also serving as foster parents with the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. In his free time, Will enjoys running, grilling smoked meats and watching a good tv show.
