DESCRIPTION:Dr. Brandon Skaggs serves as Vice President for Student Life at
  the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB)\, where he leads the universit
 y’s efforts to support\, engage\, and develop students through all aspects 
 of campus life. He assumed this role in January 2017 after serving as UMHB’
 s Director of Alumni Relations.\n\nA 2003 graduate of UMHB\, Dr. Skaggs ear
 ned a double major in Business Management and Computer Information Systems.
  He later completed an MBA in Finance and Management from Tarleton State Un
 iversity and earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Lea
 dership from Dallas Baptist University.\n\nWith more than 15 years of exper
 ience in Christian higher education\, Dr. Skaggs has served in a variety of
  leadership roles. At Dallas Baptist University\, he held several positions
  including Director of Admissions and Recruitment\, International Recruiter
 \, Graduate Advisor\, and Assistant to the Vice President and Dean of the G
 ary Cook Graduate School of Leadership. In 2011\, he joined Oklahoma Baptis
 t University as Associate Vice President for Student Development & Dean of 
 Students\, where he provided strategic leadership in student life\, residen
 ce life\, student conduct\, and spiritual life.\n\nDr. Skaggs is deeply com
 mitted to fostering holistic student development\, Christ-centered leadersh
 ip\, and vibrant campus culture. He is also passionate about mentoring youn
 g leaders and strengthening community engagement through faith-based servic
 e.\n\nHe has been married to his wife\, Sara\, for XX years. Together\, the
 y have four children—Sydney\, Brady\, Bennet\, and Beau—and are actively in
 volved in their community. Dr. Skaggs serves as an elder at First Baptist C
 hurch of Belton\, where he is dedicated to spiritual leadership and discipl
 eship.
