Dr. Josh Bias serves as Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Having earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2005, he has held both faculty and clinical roles at multiple institutions.  Leaning on that experience, he currently oversees the Live on Purpose in the First Year Experience (FYE) as Director of Vocational Discernment.  In this role, he leads campus-wide initiatives that support freshmen in discerning their sense of purpose and calling.  Originally from Midland, Texas, Josh and his family are members at Vista Community Church in Temple. Together with his wife, Dair, they have a son, Bexar, and a daughter, Zadie. In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, watching and attending college & professional sporting events, and listening to music.
