Chapel - Kim Bodenhamer

Kim Bodenhamer grew up in the small town of Comanche, Texas. As a student she was active in the youth and missions ministry of FBC Comanche and in high school felt called to ministry. She attended Hardin-Simmons University as an undergraduate and there she discovered a passion for studying the Bible and its languages. She received her BA in Biblical Studies from Hardin-Simmons University, then earned a Masters of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School. She went on to earn a PhD in Religion with an emphasis on Hebrew Bible at Baylor University. She began teaching Engaging the Old Testament for UMHB in 2015 and in 2017 began as an Assistant Professor in the College of Christian Studies.

When she is not reading or teaching, Kim enjoys spending time with her boys—her husband Jack, 6 year old son James, 1 year old son Cason, and 9 year old Brittany Spaniel, Max.
