Bryan Carter is the Senior Pastor of Concord Church in Dallas, TX, where he has served as pastor for fifteen years. Concord’s mission is, “People growing people by connecting them to their next step with Christ.” Concord’s membership exceeds 9,000 members, with more than 5,500 attending Sunday worship services weekly and an additional
2,000+ on its online campus. Concord’s commitment is to disciple and train men, women, youth, children and its community.
Preaching, teaching, and leadership are his life passions. Carter hosts the E. K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference annually. This conference, serving over 800 pastors and preachers each year from across the country, is one of the premier conferences in the country for training preachers on effective biblical preaching. He has shared at numerous conferences, workshops, leadership events and worship services throughout the country. Internationally, he has shared in South Africa, Jamaica, Haiti, Kenya and Israel.
Carter leads with a focus on discipling others. He desires to see men grow in their walk with Christ and a passion for strengthening marriages by helping couples understand God’s plan for their relationships. Those desires come to life as he served as co-presenter for “33: The Series” a curriculum on authentic manhood published by Lifeway and presenter for “The Art of Marriage” curriculum published by Family Life Ministries.
Carter is committed to serving the city of Dallas and beyond through building stronger families and economic development. As a result, he serves on both faith-based and corporate boards. He currently serves on the boards of Frost Bank Dallas and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International. Carter also serves as board chair for Harmony Community Development Corporation, an organization committed to improving the community of southern Dallas through building stronger families and economic development. He also leads the African American Pastors Coalition, a fellowship of over sixty churches committed to serving and addressing key needs in the Dallas community. His past board service includes: Mayor’s Taskforce Against Domestic Violence, Impact Dallas Capital, Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Dallas ISD Education Foundation and Mentoring Brother to Brother.
Carter is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a specialty in Science and Math and is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a specialty in Family Ministry. He also is a recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University. Bryan is married to his college sweetheart, Stephanie Sadberry-Carter and has two daughters, Kaitlyn, and Kennedy and one son, Carson.
