Dean's Series: Texas Guitar Quartet
The College of Visual & Performing Arts at UMHB welcomes the Texas Guitar Quartet on Friday, November 5 at 7:30 PM in the Baugh Performance Hall inside the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center, 810 N. Main Street, Belton, TX 76513.
Formed in 2009, the Texas Guitar Quartet (TxGQ) has been hailed as “Impeccable in every respect” by Classical Guitar Magazine. Throughout the United States, Central America, Spain, and China, audiences have embraced the quartet for their daring programs, dazzling virtuosity and joyful music making.
The TxGQ has been featured in concertos with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, Nicaraguan Youth Symphony, Sam Houston State University Symphony Orchestra, Abilene Philharmonic, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra (Columbus, GA).
Their commitment to performing outreach concerts led them to be part of the Texas Commission on the Arts Texas Touring Artist Roster from 2010 to 2018. The TxGQ is Isaac Bustos, Joseph Palmer, Jay Kacherski, and Alejandro Montiel.
Admission is free and a ticket is not required to attend this performance.
